Google looks for people who pursue their passions, are curious and want to learn, says Elisabeta Moraru, Country Manager, Google Romania. She spoke at the show "In front of you" and about the famous job interview questions in Google, which was very much spoken on the Internet a few years ago.
" It's a combination. The recruitment process has evolved greatly over time. This kind of questions, not a trap, but that kind of questions of cognitive abilities, let's say, have evolved over time, they are no longer the same. What is important to the recruitment process is done by the team. And then it's not a particular recruiter who decides who will be hired, but a number of people who will interact in one way or the other with the ones they hire. We explore what we call "google-iness", that is, the principles and values that a person brings to the team they will work with, "says Elisabeta Moraru.
She also gives an example: "We can also go to the area of passion a person has, because - we are playing with a sane idea - if someone is passionate about shoes, let's say, and all the designers know, knows the collections , understands the trends, this shows me that the man in question not only follows something that passionately, but knows where to look, he understands a process. These things are actually the ones that matter, not the shoes themselves. "
Google is looking for "people who are curious to work in a company like this, or any field that is very dynamic, you need to always want to learn. If you left your guard down and you do not want to find out what's new today, you've lost a few years of development. And then that's a very important criterion, "explains Elisabeta Moraru.
